From London to Barcelona and back: Why we created the Padel Wall of Fame

It's been an intense week for us.

We spent 24 hours in Barcelona attending the World Padel Summit, one of the most important international gatherings for the padel industry. During those hours, we had the opportunity to meet professionals, entrepreneurs, club owners, brands, coaches and innovators from all over the world.

What struck us most was the strength of the networking and the sense of belonging that exists within the global padel community.

When people talk about networking, they often think about exchanging business cards or discussing commercial opportunities. But in padel, it feels different. There is a genuine willingness to share experiences, ideas, challenges and visions. Whether you are a club owner, a coach, a brand, an event organiser or an entrepreneur, there is a feeling that everyone is contributing, in their own way, to the growth of something that is still evolving and full of opportunities.

The international dimension of the World Padel Summit was also impossible to ignore. We met people from across Europe, a strong delegation from the United Kingdom, several professionals from the United States and representatives from many emerging padel markets around the world. Participation from the Middle East seemed more limited than in previous years, while Italian attendance was surprisingly small, with only a handful of familiar faces.

Yet what united everyone was the same enthusiasm and curiosity about where padel is heading next. That collective energy is perhaps the most valuable asset this sport has today.

Of course, being involved in the industry every day, we also have our own opinions and technical views about what still needs to evolve and where the sport could go next. But this is not the place for that discussion.

Today, we want to talk about something else.

Something became particularly clear during these days in Barcelona.

Padel is no longer growing simply because people enjoy playing it.

It is growing because it creates connections.

Across different countries, cultures, professions and generations, padel is becoming a place where people meet, build relationships, launch projects, discover opportunities and develop a genuine sense of belonging.

For some, it starts with a match. For others, with a business conversation, a club membership, a social event or a trip. But what keeps people engaged is often much more than the game itself.

The strongest padel communities around the world are not built only around courts and competitions. They are built around people. Around those who create experiences, bring others together, welcome newcomers, inspire participation, support the growth of clubs, organise events, develop innovative ideas and help transform a sport into a movement.

And this is exactly where the idea of the Padel Wall of Fame was born.

Padel Wall of Fame
Padel Wall of Fame

Not as a ranking.

Not as an award reserved for champions.

Not as another list of the most famous names in the sport.

The Padel Wall of Fame will celebrate the people who are helping shape the future of padel, often behind the scenes. The visionaries, the community builders, the club founders, the coaches, the event organisers, the innovators, the content creators, the volunteers and the pioneers who are making a real impact on the sport and its culture.

Over the coming months, we will begin sharing their stories.

Some names will be well known. Others will surprise you.

Some are building extraordinary clubs. Some are creating new business models. Some are introducing padel to new communities, new cities and even new countries. Others are helping make the sport more inclusive, more social and more accessible.

Together, they represent something bigger than individual success.

They represent the spirit of padel.

And during the upcoming London Padel Week, the Padel Wall of Fame will take centre stage.

What makes this project special is that many of the people whose stories we will celebrate won't simply appear on a wall or in a presentation.

They will be there.

In person.

You'll have the opportunity to meet them, hear their stories, exchange ideas and discover what drove them to become some of the individuals helping shape the future of padel.

Because the Padel Wall of Fame is not just about recognising those who have already made an impact.

It is also about inspiring the next generation of community builders, innovators, entrepreneurs, coaches, club owners and enthusiasts.

Perhaps one day, your story could become part of it too.

That is the spirit behind this project: not creating distance between people, but creating connections.

Not putting individuals on a pedestal, but celebrating the contribution they make to a sport and a community that continue to grow together.

And now the question is...

Who will be the first person whose story we tell?

Stay tuned.
