Founder Padel Travel X

Some companies are born from a market opportunity. Others begin with a personal passion that slowly turns into a mission.
That’s exactly the story behind Padel Travel X and its founder, Patricia Frost — one of the partners joining the first edition of the London Padel Week.
Through premium padel travel experiences, world-class coaching opportunities and a strong focus on human connection, Patricia is helping shape a new vision of what padel can become in the UK: not just a sport, but a global community.
Through Padel Travel X, players can travel around the world sharing their passion for padel while also improving their game alongside some of the best coaches and players in the international padel scene.
We spoke with her for our “Padel Wall of Fame” series.
The personal story behind your company project
Do you remember the moment or insight that led you to create it?
My journey with Padel Travel X is rooted in a long-standing passion for padel that began around 25 years ago during family holidays in Spain—well before the sport became mainstream in the UK. That early experience inspired her vision of combining sport, travel, and community into a single experience
In a few words, what is the purpose behind your company? What does it mean for you to build the best Padel Travel Experiences UK?
Our validation isn't simply commercial, it's providing the best possible experience of our trips and thier human impact trips, I recall one participant who had recently lost her husband before joining one of our trips, and during a very difficult period in her life. Supporting that player helped convinced me that the company was building "something much bigger than a business
Your connection with padel First of all: do you play padel? If yes: do you remember the first time you played? What feeling did it leave you with?
Yes—I play, and like everyone else, I'm completely addicted! Ever since i walked to my local tennis club around 25 years ago while on holiday in Spain, and wondered what these weired little tennis courts were. In those days they had concrete sides too. I loved it from the very first game. It's such a fun, social sport that's easy to pick up but incredibly challenging to master. I only wish I could play more often—and be a bit better!
The Padel Story In your opinion, why has padel grown so quickly in the UK over the past two years? And why do you think it arrived later here compared to many other countries?
I think padel has grown so quickly in the UK because it is incredibly accessible. You can enjoy it from the very first game, whatever your age or ability, and it has a brilliant social element that keeps people coming back. Over the past two years, more clubs, courts and investors have entered the market, which has made the sport much more visible and easier to try.
I think it arrived later here because the UK already had such a strong tennis culture and less awareness of padel compared with countries like Spain, where the sport has been part of everyday life for decades. We also lacked the infrastructure. Once people finally experienced it, the growth became inevitable.
The future of padel in the UK Looking ahead to the next 3–5 years, how do you imagine the evolution of padel in the UK? Is it just a trend, or something much deeper?
I believe we're only at the beginning of padel's journey in the UK. This is far more than a trend—it's a sport that's changing the way people connect, exercise and socialise. Over the next 3–5 years, we'll see more purpose-built clubs, stronger grassroots participation, improved coaching, and a much broader player base across all ages.
What excites me most is the opportunity to build communities, not just courts. The clubs that succeed will be the ones that create places where people want to spend time, whether they're playing, working, eating or simply meeting friends. Bringing more world-class coaches and international expertise to the UK will only accelerate that journey, raising standards, inspiring players, and helping put the UK firmly on the global padel map. That's exactly why we're so excited to welcome Manu Martin to the UK this July. Initiatives like this give players and coaches the opportunity to learn from one of the sport's most respected figures and help raise the standard of padel across the country.
What personally convinced you to become a partner of the London Padel Week?
London Padel Week represents everything we believe in at Padel Travel X. It's about bringing people together, celebrating the sport, and helping grow the padel community in the UK. For us, it wasn't just about being a partner—it was about being part of something that is shaping the future of padel.
It's also the perfect platform to connect UK players with world-class coaching and international expertise. Through initiatives like bringing Manu Martin to the UK this July, we're helping raise standards, inspire players and coaches, and demonstrate what's possible as the sport continues to grow. We want to play an active role in putting the UK firmly on the global padel map.
