We know. Padel comes first.

But we like to think that people who love padel are also people who love doing things. Discovering new places. Art. Fashion. Food. Music. London. And, most of all, sharing those interests with other people.

So we thought: why stop when the match ends?

Sorry. I Can’t. I Have Padel. is our new weekly edit of things we think are worth seeing, doing, trying, and sometimes playing, in London each weekend.

Not a definitive guide. Not everything happening in London. Just the things we’d choose ourselves.

And yes, some weeks there’ll be a tournament, a social or somewhere new to play, because padel is still at the heart of what brings us together.

But there’s a whole city waiting outside the court.

THIS WEEKEND — 26 & 27 SEPTEMBER

SEE — The Burberry Trench: Crafting an Icon. A little fashion detour after your match. The V&A’s new free display explores the evolution of one of Britain’s most recognisable pieces of design: the Burberry trench. At V&A South Kensington, running until 3 January 2027. Victoria and Albert Museum

EXPLORE — British Art Fair. Modern and contemporary British art takes over Saatchi Gallery, with works spanning major 20th-century names and contemporary artists. The fair runs 24–27 September, so this weekend is your last chance. British Art Fair

PLAY — The Eight Sleep Padel Series II. Because we said after padel, not instead of padel. The second Eight Sleep qualifier takes place at Padel Social Club Earl’s Court on Saturday 26 September, 9am–2pm, with 15 pairs competing for ranking points towards Finals Day. Padel Social Club

FUN — The Great London Sheep Drive. Yes. Sheep. On Southwark Bridge. On Sunday, one of the City of London’s oldest traditions returns as sheep are driven across the Thames. Participation in the Sheep Drive itself is fully booked, but spectators can still watch and visit the Livery Fair, which runs from 10am–4pm. Fuellers

PASSION — The Classic Car Boot Sale. For padel lovers with a touch of vintage. Granary Square, Coal Drops Yard and Lewis Cubitt Square become a playground of classic cars and bikes, 100+ vintage fashion traders, vinyl DJs, street food, craft drinks and some serious people-watching. Saturday and Sunday, 10am–6pm. events.humanitix.com

And this is just the beginning.

If you’re a passionate padel lover looking for things to do in London this weekend, perhaps we’ll see you around.

Play the match. Then stay for the third set.

THE THIRD SET STARTS WHEN THE MATCH ENDS.

Padel. People. London. And everything after.
